Why Apple is called Apple?

We have to go way back to 1976 to find out the real reason why Apple Computers were called after the famous fruit or possibly a certain city.

When Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak were initially setting up the company, Steve Jobs had friends who were running a commune in Oregon and would disappear for a few months to help out with the apple picking maybe! Or for some other reason but somewhere along the lines fruit and farms must come in to the equations somewhere.

The story goes that Steve and Steve were on their way back home, when Steve Jobs announced that he had thought of a great name “Apple Computer” and yes the rest is history, now!
