AOL test Bluestring
It has been announced that AOL is to begin testing a new free service which will allow users to have all of their music, photos, and video all in one site, this new service will be called Bluestring and it is hoped that it will be able to compete with the other services available on the net.
AOL says that Bluestring will combine all of the elements that are found in such sites as YouTube, Flickr and music sites.
This will be the first time that AOL has offered this type of service to its users, and they have to, otherwise they would be risking their users leaving and going to another ISP who already provide such services to their users.
Users will be given around five gigabytes of memory to use; this would be enough to store around 600 videos, 1,600 music tracks or 10,000 photographs. Users can take the images, videos and music from other sites and store them on Bluestring.
