Carphone warehouse promotion goes wrong, again!

Police in Southampton have put a stop to another Carphone warehouse promotion. The plan was that the company would place or hide fifty laptop computers worth around £500 each. The company had already been promoting this and crowds had gathered awaiting the start a citywide scavenger hunt.

But as the crowds were beginning to start their search, the police stepped in and called a halt to the whole thing, the reason for this is that having people hunting around the city could cause a security risk.

However because the crowds had begun to gather and some were even searching when the police intervened, this has upset a lot of them.

But never to be out done by a simple mishap, the staff at Carphone warehouse collected the laptops up and just gave them away to passers by. By doing this, many of the people who had been looking for the computers have begun complaining that they have been conned.

You just cant win then all.
