How thin can they go?

As laptop manufacturers compete for the valuable and different market sectors, they have to offer their buyers new and innovative features, one of the latest ideas is to make a laptop as thin as possible, but does this come at a price?

The latest edition to the super slim laptops on offer is the Portege R500-S5007V from Toshiba, its thin and light, making it one the most desirable laptops available on the market today, weighing in at only 2.4 pounds, yet still having 128 Gb of storage on offer.

But unlike some of the other super thin laptops, Toshiba have placed a £1,500 price on it, this makes most of the other slim line laptops look even slimmer when their price tags that can start at around £200, so does slim come at a price, yes it does when go for the latest piece of kit.
