Nearly all teenagers download illegally

Recently there we noted that there have been changes in the views of the main record companies as they try to capture a slice of the download market. This is a great move by them and will show the younger internet users that they can be up with the latest technology.

But for some people this is not good enough, like Feargal Sharkey the ex lead singer with the Undertones, who happens to be the head of the British Music Rights. He is worried about the continued growth of illegal downloads and copies that are being passed around via friends.

Clearly he has forgotten about the era when his group was topping the charts, we all used to copy their songs form the radio onto tapes, so is there really any difference? The only difference is that today’s teenagers are more tech savvy than those in business and they don’t like it.
