Firefox 3 outperforms competition

Much has been written about Firefox and the recent release of the third version, normally you would expect the memory use to increase, but it would seem that the in the case of Firefox 3 this may not be the case in fact during tests the memory usage has actually fallen, which has to be great news for everyone.

The test was performed by opening up tabs and measuring the memory used; this is an easy way of checking the memory usage and to make an exact comparison with other operating systems.

This test has been conducted to prove the point that this OS is as good as they state it is, this is risky but if they pull it off it would be a great success. Firefox 3 will go up against Firefox 2.0.0.12, Internet Explorer 7, Opera 9.5 Beta and Safari 3.0.4 Beta. Out of all of these OS the one that came out on top is of course Firefox 3.
