Wikileaks closed down by courts
The site that allows people to whistle blow from their computers has been closed down in the states, Wikileaks has been responsible for many leaks that have embarrassed politicians and the government, but now under the orders of a Judge in California the US site has been forced to go offline. But there are other sites throughout the world including the UK these sites remain unaffected so far.
This move follows the posting of documents on the site which implicates a Swiss Bank in money laundering, although not much more is known about this case and what the allegations really are and mean.
But removing a site for posting allegations and actual documents is no threat to state security, and yet the US joins other countries such as China and Thailand in censoring a site that is considered by many as being a watchdog site.
